PROGRAM: Day in the Life of a Nurse
DATE: Offered in fall and spring (See calendar for dates)
FOR: Juniors and Seniors in High School (Sophomores considered as space allows).
WHERE: Central Indiana area hospitals, North Central Indiana area hospitals
Students must be enrolled in high schools in central Indiana counties: Bartholomew, Boone, Hamilton, Hendricks, Marion, Hancock, Morgan, Johnson, Shelby, Monroe, or Lawrence.
Students must be enrolled in high schools in north central Indiana counties: LaPorte, St. Joseph, Elkhart or Marshall.
See your high school counselor for an application to participate in the program.
Objectives
- Observe the role of a Registered Nurse in a clinical setting.
- Discuss the varied roles of a Registered Nurse.
- Obtain information on educational programs that lead to a degree in Nursing.
