Nursing 2000 will distribute $82,320 from the 2010 Scholarship Benefit to our affiliated schools of nursing: Indiana University, Ivy Tech Community College, Marian University, and the University of Indianapolis.

The scholarship recipients have cited repeatedly that financial support was critical in the successful completion of their education...ultimately impacting patients, families, and communities that they reach.  "Scholarships make a critical difference in supporting nursing careers at both the undergraduate and graduate level," said Barbara Mitchell, executive director, Nursing 2000, “and nurses prepared from entry to advanced roles are essential for safe and effective care delivery."  In a 2010 survey to previous scholarship recipients, findings reflect:

85% are employed in nursing
81% are employed in Indiana
76% are employed in the 11 county area served by Nursing 2000.
